Forgarn is a semi-finished yarn where the wool has been carded and split into threads, but it has not yet been spun. The yarn is wound with 2 parallel threads, and it is knitted from both threads together. Unspun yarn lacks the strength of fully spun yarn, which makes it fluffy and airy. It is still great to knit off, and as soon as the pre-yarn is knitted it gains strength. The pre-yarn can also be used for hand spinning, preferably as a base together with other fibers such as dog hair, rabbit hair or the like.

Yarn is delivered in skeins of approx. 200g. The weight varies and we therefore weigh all bales and adjust the price you pay based on the actual weight.
